The first poem I ever wrote to be seen.

Updated: May 1, 2021

So this one was my very first poem anyone ever saw. It was for a poetry project we had in class. I didn't like the poems my teacher had chosen as options for us to pick from for the project, I was rude about it, she was hurt stating "these are my favorite 5 poems". I cockily said "well i can write something better than that". So, she kicked me out for the rest of the class, and told me i would only be let in the following day if I brought a poem that I wrote, that she liked, and that was the only way I was going to receive any marks for the assignment.. So I did, the very next day I showed up to class with what you're about to see, she had a big smile on her face like if she couldn't wait to see how much of a fool I was.. But as some classmates can concor, after a few lines her tears began to pour, and by the end of the poem she had to pull a napkin from her side pocket to wipe her tears, and while she sniffled and teared, a classmate asked her quite bluntly "Are you crying?" and that's when she bursted in tears and ran out the classroom door.. I personally don't think the poem was that deserving of her reaction. I just think she was so surprised to see the "class clown" had a soft side. This is it. A poem about Love, from a young teenage Me.

Some people say, loving someone is a sickness.

That statement is true, although loving someone is a sickness, them loving you too, is the healing potion.

When two people are in love, nothing will get in their way,

not one single thing in this whole world can come between love. In sickness and in health, love,

love will always be there.

In life or in death, love,

love will always remain. When you love someone,

truly love someone, although you may "move on",

your heart will never forget that special person.

Does not matter what happens, "moving on",

never actually means that you lost love for someone,

all that means, is that you are trying something new,

or a choice you never knew, you would have to do.

No thing, nor no one,

can ever replace that love.

Love is forever.

I believe,

love is the most powerful existence known to man kind,

nothing will ever rule over love,

NOTHING WILL EVER RULE OVER LOVE,

Love can be bitter, love can be sweet,

but without it, we are nothing,

nothing will ever replace love.

Nothing
